Mechanic, repair workshop
Full-time in Charlottenberg, permanent employment after a probationary period.
About the role
Does working in a growing company sound like fun? Koppom Maskin has bought and sold forestry machines and spare parts for more than 50 years, and we hold one of the world's largest stocks of forestry machine parts and accessories. We are now looking for a mechanic for our newly started repair workshop. Is that you?
The repair workshop focuses on repairing forestry machine parts from our dismantling operation. As a mechanic in the department you work in our completely renovated workshop, fitted with workstations designed for a good and ergonomic working environment.
We are looking for someone with experience of working on and repairing vehicles and/or machines. Perhaps you have worked as a mechanic or repairer in a workshop before, or perhaps you are someone who spends a lot of spare time on the tools. As a mechanic with us you carry out everything from minor repairs to full refurbishments of forestry machine parts.
To begin with, the work centres on repairing driveline components such as gearboxes, differentials and hubs. Ideas and inventiveness are a great help in the role. You work independently and methodically to solve the challenges in front of you, but you can always lean on the department manager and your colleagues.
Responsibilities
You inspect and fault-find, carry out repairs and refurbishments, and function-test and check the repairs you have made. You work with quality assurance and documentation, and help create an efficient and safe working environment.
Who we are looking for
To enjoy the role we think you are inventive and enjoy thinking outside the box to solve problems. You work methodically and like keeping things in order. You can work independently and see what needs doing. You enjoy a challenging task. You are open to learning what you need about the forestry machine parts put in front of you.
Requirements. You have experience of mechanics or repairs, through work or otherwise, communicate fluently in Swedish, spoken and written, and live within commuting distance of Charlottenberg.
Nice to have. Knowledge of hydraulics, experience of welding and straightening, any kind of experience from the forestry machine industry, and basic English.
What we offer
The position is permanent and full-time after a six-month probationary period, with fixed working hours on weekdays, 07:00–16:00. You get an annual wellness allowance and favourable health and accident insurance, and you work in newly built premises.
Here you grow alongside around 50 friendly colleagues.
