Forestry machine mechanic
Full-time in Charlottenberg, permanent employment after a probationary period.
About the role
Does working with forestry machines in a growing company sound like fun? Koppom Maskin has bought and sold forestry machines and spare parts for more than 50 years, and we hold one of the world's largest stocks of forestry machine parts and accessories. We are now looking for another mechanic for our forestry machine workshop.
We are looking for someone who has worked mechanically with machines or larger vehicles before. Your work consists of repairing, servicing and customising the machines we sell – everything from a small oil service to a major overhaul. The make, model, hours and general condition of the machines vary, so flexibility and a focus on solutions are what it takes to enjoy and succeed in the role.
The role requires that you have worked with fault-finding and are driven by solving technical and mechanical problems. You work in our new workshop, together with our three other forestry machine mechanics.
Responsibilities
You carry out service and repairs based on the wishes and instructions of the customer and the machine seller. You fault-find and diagnose technical problems, solve whatever comes up as the work goes on, and work together with your fellow mechanics.
Who we are looking for
To enjoy the role we think you work well both independently and together with others, are good at finding solutions when an obstacle turns up and are flexible and handle rapid changes well.
You have an upper-secondary education in a relevant field, or equivalent experience from mechanic work, for example, or a burning interest in and drive for mechanics and the repair of machines or larger vehicles.
Requirements. You have experience of mechanical work on machines or other larger vehicles, a category B driving licence and live within commuting distance of Charlottenberg.
Nice to have. Experience of working on forestry machines, and knowledge of forestry machine electronics and hydraulics.
What we offer
The position is permanent and full-time after a six-month probationary period, with fixed working hours on weekdays, 07:00–16:00. You get an annual wellness allowance and favourable health and accident insurance, and you work in newly built premises.
Here you grow alongside around 50 friendly colleagues.
